This double-CD documents a rare and beautiful performance from two legendary
pianists.
On August 12, 1993 two of the great jazz pianists, Tommy Flanagan and Hank
Jones, performed at the famous Marciac jazz festival in France. In the first part of
the recording, Tommy Flanagan starts in trio with Hein Vandegeyn on bass and
Idris Muhammad on drums, followed by Hank Jones with the same rhythm
section. In the second part they play as a duo first, followed by them both
performing with the rhythm section.
