LIMITED OFFER PRICE ONLY £7.99

This rare, previously unissued concert recording features Nat King Cole and his
trio live at the Carnegie Hall in November 1949. Also featured is the Woody
Herman Orchestra who joined the trio for a spirited version of “How High the
Moon”.
The 1949 Carnegie Hall concert is not mentioned in any discography and is barely
mentioned in Cole’s biographies. The recording captures the Trio at its peak with Cole
playing piano throughout and Irving Ashby on guitar, Joe Comfort on bass and Joe
Costanzo on percussion. All the tunes are introduced by Cole and it conveys much of the
atmosphere of that special night.
