Impulse Records is an American jazz record label, originally established in 1960 by producer Creed Taylor.
In 2011, Impulse Records will mark two major milestones: the label’s 50th anniversary, and the 85th anniversary of John Coltrane’s birth. It was Coltrane who inspired Impulse’s nickname “The House That Trane Built”.
