Rarely does a musician come along that has mastered the art of jazz, classical, and Latin music with such technique and purity. Not only is he a supreme technician as a trumpeter in each of these disciplines, but his approach is always characterized by extraordinary sensitivity and taste. All of this and his ability to compose music for the many genres make him one of the most prolific instrumentalists of our times.

During his career he has garnered in total 4 Grammy awards and 6 Billboard awards.

This is the first time this album has been released outside of the US and with this album, Sandoval has accomplished two of his dreams - composing virtually every track and recording the entire album with a big band. The album features the late Tito Puente on timbales in a tribute song Sandoval wrote for the timbale master along with the vocals of Ray Ruiz.
